Understand the evidence before using the tools.
Reading market heat: risk appetite is not a trade signal
Market heat brings together trends, volatility and sentiment to describe the market environment. It does not value an individual stock or predict tomorrow's direction. Check dates, coverage and agreement between indicators before interpreting a score.
↗02Macro liquidity: rates, credit and the dollar
Macro liquidity describes financing conditions, not daily money entering equities. LongStox converts eight measures into historical percentiles and combines them by weight. Easier conditions can reduce financing pressure, while earnings cuts, high valuations or credit shocks can still hurt stocks.
↗03Institutional holdings: disclosure changes are not yesterday's trades
Distinguish quarterly 13F holdings from transparent ETF disclosures. A 13F is a period-end snapshot; ETFs may disclose more frequently. Publication, holdings and trade dates differ. Without transaction records, a snapshot difference is not same-day net buying.
↗04Industry maps: from relationships to risk evidence
Industry maps trace dependencies and risk transmission, not automatic beneficiaries. A relationship needs direction, the product or service, dated evidence and explicit unknowns about scale or continuity. More edges do not necessarily mean better research.
↗Public company overviews
Start with the business, its upstream and downstream categories, and how risks might travel. The complete NVIDIA map is public; complete graphs and evidence for other companies are available to members.
